The Dastgah Mahur

This Dastgah is especially distinct from the other eleven systems in an important characteristic. Mahur expresses  "l" audace,la gaite,l'optimisme, feeling quite distinct from those of most of the other dastgah-ha,which asr closer to the those of most of the other dastgah-ha, which are closer to the pessimistic end of the emotional spectrum. This characteristic of Mahur might well be attributed to its scale, which is, in essence, the same as the plagal from of the Western major a scale generally felt to express brighter emotions. The name Mahur even seems close to major although its meaning, rising ground is not related. Like Shur ,Mahur is one of the more popular dastgah-ha in use today. All sources concur on the gusheh-ha of Mahur. Most important is the melody on the dominant called Delkash. This gusheh adds two accidentals: a Koron on the sixth degree and flat on the seventh. C D E F G Ap Bp C.
The Rast kuk for Mahur is C for tar and Settar,F for santur and G for kamanchay.
